Administration Bureau Building 1F Exhibition

Date of activity: September 30, 2014
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Library is now holding an exhibition about our library in the lobby on the first floor of the Administration Bureau Building from September 30, 2014. The exhibition showcases our activities for the changing future, especially featuring our ongoing new library project.
Next to the reception, you can see a large bookshelf panel with a height of 200 cm and a width of 670 cm, along with a digital sign. The panel and sign present our previous activities and an overview of our ongoing new library project, ¡°Academic Commons.¡±
The current General Library was rebuilt in 1928 after the Great Kanto Earthquake, and thereafter renovated. A display case located on the right side of the main entrance details this history of the General Library. On the opposite side of the display case (next to a wide-screen monitor), you can also see a model of the General Library on display. The model is close to the Library¡¯s original design in 1928.
Moreover, the wide-screen monitor shows various ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Library users and staff (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students, academic and administrative staff, and the general public) commenting in an interview under the theme: ¡°What is the Future of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Library to You?¡± Through their messages, you will be able to know what future we look forward to for the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Library and what we think the Library should be like in the future.
We hope that our exhibition provides an opportunity for many people to become familiar with our new activities and the people involved in them. We believe that enjoying this exhibition will lead the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Library to a bright future with a foundation in its historic past.
