Paving the Way to Sustainability: The Power of Big Data in Lifestyle Choices.
Through the use of Environmental Extended Input-Output Analysis, it becomes feasible to trace the extensive energy utilized throughout the lifecycle of essential goods and services, from production to consumption, in everyday life. This energy footprint, resultant from all consumption, can be conceptualized as the 'footprint' humanity imposes upon the Earth. In the backdrop of the big data era, research is being advanced employing data analysis methods such as machine learning, aiming to identify characteristics of populations with similar consumption patterns or lifestyles. Particularly in an era marked by a declining birthrate and an aging population, it is our aspiration to further research into the reclassification of population demographics to promote low-carbon behaviors tailored to specific consumption activities.
